1. Provider identification
These Terms and Conditions of Use and Purchase govern access, browsing, registration, purchase and use of Ride On University, an online bicycle mechanics training platform delivered through streaming video content, with no download option, operated by [COMPANY NAME], VAT ID [VAT], with registered address at [ADDRESS]. Contact: [EMAIL].
2. Service scope
Ride On University provides access to courses, lessons, videos, training materials and resources related to bicycle mechanics. The service is provided online only and under a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable use license.
Access to paid content requires a user account and the purchase of one of the plans available on the pricing page or the corresponding checkout.
3. Plans, prices and purchase
Available plans may include, among others, monthly access, an enrollment or initial access period with subsequent renewal, and special plans for former students or specific groups. The specific commercial terms of each plan, including price, currency, billing period, initial duration, renewals, promotions and discounts, will be those displayed on the pricing page and confirmed in the Stripe checkout before purchase.
If there is any discrepancy between prior commercial communication and the checkout, the final information shown in the checkout at the time of purchase will prevail, provided it is clear and has been expressly accepted by the User.
4. Automatic renewal and plan changes
Unless expressly stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period using the payment method provided by the User. Some plans may include an initial access or enrollment period and, after that period, move to a recurring maintenance or continuity fee. This transition will be shown before purchase.
Ride On University may modify, withdraw or update plans and prices for new purchases. Changes affecting an active subscription will be communicated with reasonable notice and, where required by applicable law, before being applied to the next billing cycle.
5. Payments, Stripe and taxes
Payments are securely processed through Stripe. Ride On University does not store full bank card details. Stripe may apply its own terms, security policies and anti-fraud checks.
Prices will be displayed with applicable taxes where required. For consumers located in the European Union, VAT may be determined according to the buyer's country and managed through the One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme or another applicable tax mechanism. For buyers outside the EU, local taxes, withholding, duties or charges may apply according to their local law.
6. Cancellation
The User may cancel their subscription from their account, through the enabled billing portal or by contacting support. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not remove access already paid for: unless otherwise stated, the User will keep access until the end of the current billing period.
No prorated refunds will be issued for billing periods already started, except where required by law, due to a technical error attributable to Ride On University, or by express commercial decision.
7. Right of withdrawal and digital content
Under Spanish and European consumer regulations, consumers may generally have a 14-calendar-day withdrawal period for distance contracts.
However, under Article 103 of the Spanish General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users, the right of withdrawal will not apply when the User has expressly consented to the start of the service or supply of digital content before the end of that period and has acknowledged that, by accessing the content, they lose their right of withdrawal.
Therefore, the purchase process must inform the User of this exception and may require express acceptance before allowing access to paid videos or digital content.
8. Intellectual property and permitted use
All videos, texts, images, trademarks, designs, materials, exercises, scripts, code, course structures and other Platform content are owned by [COMPANY NAME] or its licensors.
It is strictly prohibited to download, record, copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, publicly communicate, share credentials, give third parties access, use video capture tools, extract content through automated tools or use the content for unauthorized commercial purposes.
Breach of this clause may result in account suspension or termination without refund, without prejudice to any legal action that may apply.
9. User account and security
The account is personal and non-transferable. The User is responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for all activity performed from their account. Ride On University may limit, suspend or review access when it detects abnormal use, fraud, abuse, account sharing or breach of these Terms.
10. Educational nature and risk notice
Ride On University content is educational. Bicycle mechanics may involve material and personal risks if performed incorrectly or without appropriate tools, training, protection or supervision.
The User is responsible for applying techniques at their own discretion, following manufacturers' instructions, using adequate tools and seeking qualified professional assistance when necessary. Ride On University will not be liable for damage to bicycles, components, tools, facilities, personal injuries or accidents arising from incorrect application of the content.
11. Service availability
Ride On University will make reasonable efforts to keep the Platform available and secure, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, technical incidents, external providers, force majeure or causes beyond Ride On University's reasonable control.
12. Data protection
Personal data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy. By registering or purchasing, the User acknowledges having been informed about such processing, including the use of providers such as Stripe, Firebase/Google Cloud, Mixpanel or Sentry where necessary to provide, secure, analyze or improve the service. For provider identification, please consult our Legal Notice.
13. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. In case of dispute, the parties will submit to the courts and tribunals that are competent under applicable law. Where the User acts as a consumer, any mandatory consumer protection jurisdiction and rights will be respected.
