2. What data do we collect?
For the proper functioning of the academy, we process the following categories of data:
- Identification data: Name, surname, username, and email address.
- Location and billing data: Postal address and country of residence (mandatory for VAT calculation under the EU's One Stop Shop - OSS system).
- Payment data: We do not store card numbers; these are managed in an encrypted manner through Stripe. We receive payment confirmation and the last 4 digits of the card.
- Technical and usage data: Connection IP, device type, browser, software errors (via Sentry) and behavior within the platform (via Mixpanel).
3. Purpose of Processing
We process your data for:
- Service provision: Managing your sign-up, access to mechanics videos, and technical support.
- Economic management: Processing enrollment payments and automatic renewals via Stripe.
- Legal compliance: Generating invoices and complying with tax obligations in Spain and the EU.
- Security and Fraud Prevention: Monitoring access to prevent account sharing or illicit downloads of protected content.
- Communications: Sending notifications about your subscription status and, if authorized, newsletters with technical and commercial updates.
4. Legal Basis
- Contract execution: Necessary for you to access the academy after payment.
- Legal obligation: For invoice issuance and tax compliance (General Tax Law).
- Legitimate interest: To ensure website security and protect our intellectual property (videos).
- Consent: For sending commercial communications and using non-essential analytical cookies.
5. Data Retention Period
Account data will be retained while your subscription remains active.
Tax legal obligation: Once the subscription is cancelled, billing data will be blocked and retained for 5 years (according to Spanish General Tax Law) to address potential inspections or claims.
Analytical data (Mixpanel/Sentry) will be anonymized or deleted after 12 months.
6. Recipients and International Transfers
To provide a high-quality service, we use leading providers that may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA):
- Stripe: (USA) For payment management. Complies with Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).
- Google Cloud / Firebase: (europe-west4 region) For hosting and database.
- Mixpanel and Sentry: (USA) For product and error analytics.
- Tax Authorities: Tax Agency (Spain) for tax declarations.
All international transfers are carried out under security agreements that guarantee a level of protection equivalent to the European one.
7. Your Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- Access: Know what data we have about you.
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure (Right to be forgotten): Request the deletion of your data (provided there is no legal obligation to retain it, such as invoices).
- Opposition and Limitation: Object to processing for commercial purposes.
- Portability: Receive your data in a structured electronic format.

8. Supervisory Authority
